Hello and welcome to the Sturgess Online Website.

My name is Tony, I started work in a local village garage and went on to other local town garages until moving careers into Computing in 1974. From then on I grew to become a Senior Systems Support Engineer working on IBM mainframes. I ended up with a well known company that made me redundant due to their customers down sizing computers to smaller/cheaper but as powerful systems. So in 2009 I started looking for part time work as my age by then was to old to continue in the computing IT industry. Since then I grew into PC support and website creation and maintenance. My family are still with me. My youngest son is now married with three lovely daughters. My oldest son is still trying to settle in a work position that he likes. My wife passed away in December 2012 very suddenly which hit all of us very hard especially as she never got to see my son marry or the birth of his three daughters. Now I just support my boys and grand daughters as much as possible after my part time work in a local garage being mornings only.
